Just a bunch of random stuff:

I don't have cable. I had it for free for a while, when the local cable companies were battling it out and each gave us a month of free access that somehow spilled over into at least three months. I've had it off and on over the past few years. I'm too poor and cheap to pay $36 a month for it right now. Besides, I usually watch the same three channels and they're all network stations. The Internet gives me all the cheap thrills I need.

I curse a lot. Even at work. Even at the vendors.

"Becker" is my third favorite TV show. I love that guy. He's bitter and intolerant of idiots and he speaks his mind. What's not to love about him?

"The Simpsons" is my favorite show. Absolute favorite. My second-favorite is the nine o'clock news.

I really like local commercials. They are tacky as hell and have the worst actors ever, but they're funny. My favorites are the "Eagle Man" ads.

I don't dig Oprah. I respect her for working so hard and being so successful and all, but her show's not my cup of tea. Like her audience of millions really cares about one twentysomething who doesn't want to watch her show.

I don't like "Ally McBeal". I don't think "Friends" is funny. I've tried to like "Friends," but I still don't.

I hate the hell out of pantyhose. I hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em. They don't feel right on my legs and feet, and I hate the sound they make if you rub your legs together - that damn nylon rubbing sound - eeeeeeeeek!! That sound does to me what the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard does to most people. The sound of fingernails on a chalkboard, however, doesn't bother me at all.

I don't like socks. I like summertime because I can wear sandals. I walk around barefoot in my apartment. When I go to my mom's house, I walk around barefoot there too. She's always fussing at me to put some socks on.

I rarely wear skirts, because I hate pantyhose (see above). I wear long skirts in summer because I don't have to wear pantyhose with them. I don't dislike skirts, it's just the pantyhose thing.

When I applied to college and throughout my first semester, I wanted to major in biochemisrty. But then I found out how much time the science majors spent in labs, and didn't get any extra credits for those three-hours-per-class labs, and I changed my major to economics. I don't remember a damn thing about economics, though.

Whatever happened to Sade? I was her biggest fan in high school. I knew every Sade song by heart. I miss her.

I don't like popcorn. The smell of it is OK, I can eat it, but you won't see me running to get my hands on it.

In my opinion, the 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo is hands down the ugliest damn new car on the road. It's like they tried to capture the look of the old Monte Carlos, most of which are now in hooptie status. It has that curved indent on its back half. But it also has the modern curves and stuff. Car is FUGLY. It doesn't look right. And I keep seeing more and more of them.

When is Aaliyah's new album coming out? Does anybody know? And where is her website? A CURRENT website?

I think rapper Eve is gorgeous, one of the most beautiful women in entertainment.

Kizi doesn't like Ally McBeal or pantyhose? So sad... Also, it appears that she doesn't realize that even though she wears long skirts to avoid pantyhose, we can still tell that she isn't wearing pantyhose. (Does she think that long skirts stop us from checking???) - Winnie

Note: I initially did this profile back in November of 2000, but have kept it as a Profile in Waiting...maybe I just didn't have the heart to expose Kizi to the world as a Pantyhose Hater. But then a funny thing happened last night...

I visited Kizi's page again to see how she's doing, and came to find that the text above from her has been relegated to an archive, yet on her current page, she says:

I'm a city girl. I curse and talk about the drinks I like and the job I hate. I have a lot of black shirts and pants for the weekends and a lot of khaki pants and pastel shirts for work days. I don't wear a lot of skirts because I hate pantyhose.

It quickly becomes obvious that Kizi doesn't hate pantyhose...in fact, the reality must be that she really loves wearing pantyhose, but feels constrained by society into being forced to profess an imagined hatred for them. Why else would she protest so much, particularly when there is no sensible reason to hate pantyhose in the first place?

To assist Kizi in feeling free enough to wear pantyhose, this profile is being posted on the Fourth of July...thus, Kizi can freely and openly wear pantyhose the entire day, including when she watches fireworks late in the evening.

And Kizi...go for the big time, and just wear pantyhose all the time. Your very being will be enhanced in ways you can't even fathom at this point. - Winnie
